The second Stanley Cup semifinal meeting between Vegas and Dallas was a thriller.
The score was 2-2 after three periods played and then it took just one minute and twelve seconds into extra time before Vegas' Chandler Stephenson shot the winning goal and secured the team's second win in best-of-seven games.

However, Dallas' Miro Heiskanen gave the away team a dream start on Sunday when he made it 1-0 just three minutes into the T-Mobile arena. But Vegas, who won the first game 4–3 after two goals from William Karlsson, came back. On the power play, Mark Stone scored the equalizer.

Stephenson ruled

The game stood and weighed and just over halfway through the second period, Dallas took the lead through Jason Robertson – and for a long time it looked like it would be a Dallas victory.

But Vegas went for a final push and with two minutes left of the third, Jonathan Marchessault put the game 2–2 up, taking the game to extra time where Chandler Stephenson scored for Vegas who won 3–2.

"Tough to go to Dallas"

Vegas now leads 2-0 in games, but a spot in the coveted Stanley Cup Final is still some way off, according to William Karlsson.

"It's going to be tough to go to Dallas and beat them there, but we're sticking to one game-at-a-time mentality and trying to win the next one. Hopefully we can make an even better match than today, says Karlsson to Aftonbladet.

The third meeting semifinal meeting takes place on Wednesday, at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
