A Spanish report has revealed exciting new developments regarding a family crisis in the family of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Several reports have claimed in recent times that the relationship between the Portuguese star and his Argentine fiancée, Georgina Rodriguez, has been strained to the point of separation.

Since then, the media has put the family in the spotlight, monitoring everything they do, particularly on social media.

In the latest developments, the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo confirmed that Alma Avero, the sister of the "Madeira rocket", threatened a media outlet in Portugal.

"Cristiano Ronaldo's family has declared war on the Portuguese media," the Spanish newspaper said, highlighting new information quoting Portuguese journalist Adriano Silva, who confirmed receiving threats from Cristiano's sister Elma.

Silva confirms that the information about the tension between Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina, which is circulated in the news rooms in Portugal, comes from Dolores Aveiro, the mother of the "Don".

"Elma, the sister who accompanies Georgina, attacks left and right, she even threatened me on my TV show," Silva said.

Dolores Aveiro has threatened Portuguese media with legal action if they continue to spread what they described as rumours that they are seeking to spoil Cristiano's relationship with his fiancée.

Portuguese media claimed that Dolores was trying in various ways to differentiate her from Ronaldo, but the mother announced – in an official statement – that he would take legal action in order to "clean her image," according to Mundo Deportivo.

In her statement, Dolores referred to Georgina for the first time as a "wife," describing what was promoted as pure "horrific lies and slanders."
