Major League Baseball pitcher Yu Darvish of the Padres started against the Royals and gave up four runs in six innings to take his third loss.

Darvish started the game against the Royals in San Diego on the 17th in five days and had a good start with only one hit until the third inning, including three consecutive strikeouts in the third inning.

However, in the fourth inning, he scored one run on an infield hit and a timely two-base hit, and in the sixth inning, right after his teammates caught up, he led off the game with a foreball and delivered a sweet changeup ball to the next batter into the right stands to win the game with a two-run home run.

Darvish walked off the mound after giving up two more two-base runs to make it 5-3, and the game was pitched through the middle of the sixth inning and gave up four runs.

He allowed six hits, struck out six and posted a 3.3 ERA.

The Padres lost 1-4 to Darvish, improving their record to 1-6 this season.

Athletics pitcher Shintaro Fujinami pitched in relief against the Diamondbacks in Oakland and was hit in the ninth inning to take the loss.

Fujinami pitched a 2-1 eighth inning with two outs and two outs at third base and survived the pinch with a strikeout from the fourth batter with a fastball.

He took the mound again in the ninth inning, but was replaced with one out on two foreballs, including a two-base walk and a walk, and the substitute pitcher scored two runs to give the team a 4-6 loss, leaving Fujinami the losing pitcher.

Fujinami is now 4-6 with a 6.3 ERA in which he threw two-thirds of an inning and gave up two runs, allowing one hit, two foreballs, and striking out one.
