Finland and Sweden in the World Cup are always hot and tonight they go in as pre-favourites to win Group A which will be decided in Tampere.

Sakari Manninen, who scored two goals in Finland's last match, is charged to say the least.

"It's a huge day with the game against Sweden. I love those matches. It's like a war against Sweden. We have to work hard and enjoy the situation," he said.

For experienced defenseman Miika Koivisto, it is special in another way. He is up against Sam Hallam, who he coached for three seasons in Växjö Lakers and also won a Swedish Championship with.

"He's a smart coach. He can read the game well and make changes as the game progresses," Koivisto says.

What are his strengths according to you?

"He's good with people. It's easy to talk to him and in Växjö he was like one of the guys. You didn't have to think too much about how you talk to him or anything.

Koivisto is curious about what the NHL reinforcements who have joined Tre Kronor are doing to the team.

"There are different players now than earlier in the season when they've got some guys from the NHL. It will be fun to see if they change their game because of it.

Finland-Sweden will be broadcast on SVT2 starting at 19.00 tonight.
