The European Football Observatory (CIES) has revealed the world's highest-valued players in its latest study.

The network stated that the new statistic targeted 1229,74 clubs from <> different leagues and was based on several considerations, most notably age and performance, in addition to the remaining period in the player's contract with the club.

In these lines a profile of each player in the new list:

Darwin Nunez

The Uruguayan forward is in his first season with Liverpool, contributing to 19 goals (15 goals and 4 assists) in 42 appearances in all competitions.

Núñez, 23, is under contract with Liverpool until the summer of 2028, bringing his market value to €80 million.

Enzo Fernandez

The world champions with Argentina arrived at Chelsea in the transfer market last winter, in a deal that is the most expensive in the history of the English league.

Fernandes, 22, played 47 games in all competitions with Benfica and Chelsea, scoring 4 goals and assisting 9, but his long contract with the second and running until 2031, made his market value reach 80 million euros.

Gabriel Martinelli

Since 2019, the Brazilian striker has been wearing the Arsenal shirt, so he is in his fourth season with the Gunners at the age of 21.

Martinelli has scored 15 goals and 6 assists in 45 appearances this season and, given his long contract until 2027, his market value is €100 million.

Yoshko Gvardiol

Gvardiol has become one of the most prominent defenders in the Bundesliga, and may be in the world after his impressive form at the World Cup in Qatar.

Gvardiol is 21 years old and has a contract with RB Leipzig that runs until the summer of 2027, and given his brilliance in defence and contributing 3 goals in 39 games, his market value is €100 million.

Kylian Mbappe

Mbappe's presence in this late position may be strange to the reader, and here it is necessary to recall the criteria on which this list was issued (age, performance, contract duration).

Mbappe's individual numbers are irreproachable this season, as he has scored 36 goals and provided 9 assists in 39 games, but it is one season left until the end of his contract, with an additional season as an option, that has kept the 24-year-old French star in sixth place, with a market value of 150 million euros.

According to the Observatory, Mbappe's realistic value (if he is tied to a three-season contract) will be 3 million euros.

Jamal Musiala

Just one year after leaving Chelsea and joining Bayern Munich, Musiala (20) found himself a player in the first team of the "Bavarian" giants, in 2020.

Musiala has caught the eye with his talent, and his contributions to the team have risen this season, reaching 29 goals in 44 games, (15 goals and 14 assists).

Having been linked with Bayern Munich until 2026, Musiala's market capitalization has reached €150 million.

Pedri Gonzalez

Pedri has secured a place in Barcelona's squad for the past two seasons and has become untouchable, with the club's management refusing to even discuss the idea of selling him.

This season, the 20-year-old Pedri, who is under contract until 2026, played 34 games for the Blaugrana in all competitions, scoring 7 goals, bringing his market value to 150 million euros.

Jude Bellingham

In the past few days, the 19-year-old Englishman has been linked with a move to Real Madrid next summer.

But Bellingham's contract with Borussia Dortmund is valid until June 2025, and he has contributed with his team to 20 goals this season between scoring (13) and assists (7), in 41 games, and accordingly the market value of the player reached 150 million.

Vinicius Jr.

The Brazilian star, who has been with Real Madrid this season, scoring 23 goals in 51 games, has contributed significantly to the Merengue's crowning of the Copa del Rey, and he and his team are still in the framework of European competition.

The 22-year-old's current contract keeps him at the Santiago Bernabeu until the summer of 2024, and despite this short period, his market value is up to €200 million.

Erling Haaland

He is arguably the most successful player in Europe so far in terms of individual numbers, surpassing his 50 goals since the beginning of the season, which has kept his team a real contender for all titles (Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League).

Haaland, 22, is under contract with the Citizens until June 2027, and it was his long contract that put him in the lead, worth up to 200 million euros.
