It was during Saturday's Allsvenskan match between Degerfors and Elfsborg that the TV cameras caught Oscar Wallin's torn socks.
"Oh my God, would that be approved?" said expert Alexander Axén in Discovery+.
Wallin now tells Fotbollskanalen about the severed socks.
– First of all, you can say that our socks are extremely tight and then I have some problems with cramps. It has been seen that some people solve tight socks by cutting them open. Then you could say that I went a little too hard with the scissors, says the 21-year-old to Fotbollskanalen.
"It started with small holes and then I don't really know... I dropped it well with the scissors, simply. Now it's hardly a pair of socks anymore," he says.
