Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has vowed to leave no one to go unpunished after the Reds were knocked out of the Champions League after losing by two goals without reply to Real Madrid.

Chelsea suffered a fourth consecutive defeat, as Rodrygo scored two goals in the second leg to lead Real to win a clean quadruple in the aggregate home and away matches.

Chelsea's latest loss means Lampard oversaw the team's worst run in all competitions in nearly three decades, following his return as caretaker manager.

He told BT Sport: "You play for Chelsea, in every game you play you have to give it your all. I'm not going to let any player get away with it and we have to show that, that criterion we can't ignore."

"We played well for 60 minutes. We created opportunities, but they must be seized. You can't praise the performance too much when you lose at this level."

"But we have improved a lot. The club has been more progressive in this competition and the players can take that feeling forward with them in the future."
