Wind in the sails after 3-0 away against AIK – then IFK Värnamo came to visit Norrköping.
And already after 12 minutes Marco Lund had a header in the post.
Just a few minutes later, however, the goal would happen – via a giant board by the goalkeeper.
Värnamo goalkeeper Pilip Vaitsiakhovich rushed out on a ball to nod it away, but the header went straight to Arnor Sigurdsson.
The Icelander just put the ball in the open goal and the Norrköping lead was a fact.
But IFK Värnamo would equalize before the half-time break.
Marco Lund scored highest on a defensive corner – which he nodded into his own goal. Own goal and 1-1.
However, it did not take long in the second half until Norrköping regained the lead.
Sigurdsson struck with a shot from outside the penalty area, and the goalkeeper was stopped when the ball trajectory was changed after the ball hit a Värnamo foot. The 23-year-old's second goal of the evening.
The home team held the game through, with good control, and won 2-1.
