The Bavarian club inflicted the first loss to Borussia Dortmund this year (9 wins and one draw) and the seventh in the league this season, specifically since falling to Borussia Monchengladbach 2-4 on November 11.

The Bavarian sacked coach Julian Nagelsmann and signed with Tuchel, the former coach of Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea on March 24.

The Bavarian victory came at the right time as it awaits a double confrontation with Freiburg - next Tuesday - in the quarter-finals of the cup competition, and next Saturday in the 28th stage before traveling to England to face Manchester City in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

On the other hand, the fall of Dortmund came before its upcoming summit against Leipzig – next Wednesday – in the quarter-finals of the domestic cup competition.
