32-year-old skier Ragnhild Haga puts an end to a successful career after tomorrow's three-mile at the Norwegian Championships.

Earlier in March, she became the historic winner of the five-mile at Holmenkollen. It was the first time the women ran the distance in the World Cup.

Haga also won double Olympic gold, in the 10 km and in relay, in Pyeongchang in 2018.

"I feel like I need a change in life, even though it's also sad and weird. But I look forward to finding new goals to work towards, to be an exerciser and to be more at home with those who have supported me throughout my skiing career," she writes.

Several teammates and competitors have sent greetings during the post.

"Thank you for all these years Ragnhild! So happy that I got the chance to get to know you", writes Ebba Andersson.
