The schedule of the France XV before the 2023 Rugby World Cup is now known. For their preparation matches, the Blues will play four matches. Fabien Galtier's men will face Scotland twice, then Fiji and finally Australia.

The XV of France will play four matches of preparation for the World Cup 2023 in August, including three at home, against Scotland twice, then against Fiji and finally against Australia, formalized Wednesday evening the French Rugby Federation (FFR). Les Bleus, who will play on their soil the World Cup (September 8-October 28), of which they are one of the favorite teams, will begin this "Summer Nations Series" on August 5 at Murrayfield.

They will then host the XV du Chardon at the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium in Saint-Etienne on August 12, before travelling to Nantes, at the Beaujoire, to host Fiji on August 19. On August 21, the list of 33 players who will play in the World Cup will be unveiled, before a final match against Australia at the Stade de France on August 27.

Stage of preparation

Meanwhile, a group of 42 players, whose names will be announced on June 21, will have completed various preparation courses: in Carpiagne (Bouches-du-Rhône), within the Foreign Legion, from June 26 to 28, then in Monaco from July 2 to 14.

From July 24 to August 3, the Blues will meet the CNR of Marcoussis before meeting in Capbreton (Landes) from August 7 to 25, where they had begun their preparation for the 2023 Six Nations Tournament. The France will play the opening match of the World Cup on September 8 against the New Zealand All Blacks.
