It was a Växjö that grabbed the baton directly in front of the home fans. In the end, the lead goal came after Joel Persson nicely played through to Joachim Blichfeld at the end of the first period.

But just 26 seconds later, Niklas Olausson dribbled away Emil Larmi completely and made it 1-1.

Then a few dream minutes would play out for the home team in the middle act. First, Emil Larmi made a high-class save when Luleå basically had an open goal. Minutes later, Kalle Kossila played away the Luleå defense and goalkeeper Joel Lassinantti and served up Robert Rosén who could easily put in 2-1 on the powerplay.

It was also the match-deciding goal and Växjö is thus ready for the Swedish Championship semi-finals. Luleå, which went to the Swedish Championship final last season, is knocked out and will have to go on holiday.
