The New York Rangers admittedly had game breaks the night of Tuesday but can still celebrate. With both Florida and Buffalo losing their games, the Rangers now have a sufficient margin in the Eastern Conference results list to secure a playoff spot.
The Rangers are the fifth team in the Eastern Conference to secure a Stanley Cup spot. In the Western Conference, there still isn't a team ready for the playoffs.
