The group stage has been a rollercoaster for Team Hasselborg. And unfortunately, the last day of the group stage was going to be heavy.

The loss to Italy was followed up with a game against Denmark in which nothing went Sweden's way.

The match was completely even after five rounds. But in the sixth round, Denmark took two points, after a stroke that turned out better than they intended.

"Sweden is not doing anything tactically wrong. But Denmark sets the keystones, says expert Eva Lund about the game.

Quarter-finals await

Denmark were able to control the home game and won 9-4, after Sweden gave up in the ninth round.

"It didn't bounce our way. We get the rounds where we want to but don't take care of it," Mabergs said of the match.

Now Italy awaits in the quarter-finals and in the event of promotion, Switzerland stands for the opposition, who have won 33 straight matches in a World Cup context.

"We have to erase the feeling of loss, keep our heads and stones high in the nest," says Sofia Mabergs for the continuation.

SVT broadcasts the quarter-finals against Italy starting at 10.00 (Saturday).
