Patrik Carlsson gave Frölunda the lead in the first period. And in the middle period, Filip Johansson and Mats Rosseli Olsen were able to extend to 2–0 and 3–0 against Färjestad.
"There's a lot we're happy with so far," Johansson told C More after the second period.
And it would be better for Frölunda in the third period. Loui Eriksson sent in 4–0 and just over three minutes later Filip Hasa also scored for the home side.
Frölunda also had the chance to put the six there via a penalty, but Anthony Greco did not get a hole on Dennis Hildeby.
With tonight's result, it stands 2–2 in matches in the quarterfinal series between the teams. The next game will be played in Karlstad on Saturday.
