On Thursday night, it was clear that Brynäs was relegated from the SHL. They fell 0–1 at home to Malmö and the match series was decided to 4–1.

Several Brynäs players stood and cried on the ice after the loss. In the stands, a large part of the fans remained standing and showing their support.

"They support the guys, despite a match like this. It's a very nice gesture from the fans, says SVT Sports expert Håkan Loob.

"Gotta start right away"

He says the club needs to act quickly ahead of the season ahead of hockeyallsvenskan.

"You have to start your work right away. It can't be more than a week or two before you have your coaches in place, and a sporting management that knows where you're going.
