Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos does not feel sorry for his Belgian teammate Eden Hazard, who is completely out of the calculations of Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, as he has not participated with the team even for a minute in more than 3 months.

Kroos said before the match between Barcelona and Real Madrid in the round of 26 of the Spanish league, when asked about his feeling towards Hazard, who is always absent from the team: "I do not feel sorry or pity for him, because he does not live a bad life."

Speaking to Belgian network Eleven Sports, he added: "Of course he is in a difficult situation, but there is no room for pity in football, I don't think Eden is living a bad life anyway."

"We can feel sorry for people who are in much worse conditions than Hazard, and I don't feel sorry for anyone in the world of football," the German star said.

The former Bayern Munich player stressed that he spends a lot of time with his teammates, pointing out that their problems seem simple when compared to what the poor live.

Spanish newspaper Sport considered Hazard – the highest-paid player at Real Madrid who suffered numerous injuries and technical and physical problems – the worst deal in Real Madrid's history.

The Belgian has made his La Liga appearance for Real Madrid as a substitute this season in the first and second rounds against AlmerĂa and Celta de Vigo (32 minutes and 7 minutes respectively) and in the sixth against Real Mallorca (59 minutes).

The same applies to the Champions League, where he also made three appearances against Celtic (3 minutes), Shakhtar Donetsk (60 minutes) and RB Leipzig (57 minutes).

He also featured in one Copa del Rey game, while missing out on the UEFA Super Cup and Real Madrid's two Spanish Super Cup games in Saudi Arabia, scoring one goal and assisting another.

Hazard, 32, joined Real Madrid in June 2019 from Chelsea in a deal that cost the club's coffers more than 100 million euros.

In total, he played 73 games in all competitions, scoring 7 goals, providing 11 assists, and his market value is currently only 7.5 million euros, according to the site "Transfermarkt" specialized in statistics and player data.
