The player of the St. Petersburg club showed a foreign passport to journalists after the match of the Russian Premier League (RPL) with CSKA Moscow (0:1), reports TASS.

On February 24, it became known that Vladimir Putin granted Russian citizenship to Malcom and Claudigno.

However, in order for the Brazilians to be able to play for the national team, some time must pass. The Russian Football Union reported that there is a theoretical possibility in which these players will be able to play for the Russian national team.

Malcom, 25, has been playing for Zenit since 2019, and Claudinho, 26, since 2021. The Brazilians in the summer extended their contracts with the Russian club until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Earlier it was reported that Roman Teryushkov shared his opinion on the passport of the Russian Federation for Malcom and Claudinho.
