Senbatsu High School Baseball will feature three second-round games on the third day of the tournament.
Game 1
The first match will be between Kaisei High School in Nagasaki and Sha High School in Hyogo.
Kaisei has captain and catcher Isshin Tagawa and many other members who experienced Koshien last summer, when they won two games.
This is the company's second appearance in 1 years since 2, when they reached the last four in their first appearance.
Led by captain Tsubasa Kuma, they will hone their judgment skills through "brain" training and prepare for the Koshien tournament that will continue last summer.
Game 2
The second match will be between Nishogakusha University High School in Tokyo and Koryo High School in Hiroshima.
Kaito Katai, who hit a home run as the No. 2 first-year student at Koshien last summer, led the batting line with a team-leading 1 RBIs in an official game last fall.
Koryo, who has won the Senbatsu championship three times in the past, has a lineup of strong hitters such as Kei Manabe, a notable slugger who hit four home runs in an official game last fall, and Kanta Tadaishi, who also hit four.
Whether the batting lines of both teams can demonstrate their strength will determine the match.
Game 3
The third match was between Tsuruga Kehi High School and Osaka Toin High School in Fukui. This is a meeting between teams that have won the Senbatsu championship.
Tsuruga Kehi created a rhythm from solid defense, with only one error in seven official matches last autumn, led by shortstop ITO Takeshi.
Osaka Toin is a left-handed pitcher who is attracting attention in the tournament, and ace pitcher Yugo Maeda shines with his pitching that weaves a straight ball with a maximum speed of 3 kilometers and a sharp changeup.
It will be interesting to see how they will fight in the first match aiming for an unprecedented second consecutive tournament title.
