Manchester United completed the contract of the semi-finalists of the FA Cup, after beating Fulham 3-1 - on Sunday - in the quarter-finals of the tournament.

The first half ended in a goalless draw between the two teams, before Fulham took the lead in the 50th minute through Aleksandar Mitrovic.

In the 72nd minute, Fulham's Willian was expelled after a hand touch inside the penalty area, so the referee awarded a penalty kick from which Bruno Fernandes scored the equalizer in the 75th minute, and the referee also expelled Portuguese coach Marco Silva and Mitrovic because of their protest against the referee's decision to award a penalty to Man United.

Two minutes later, Marcel Sabitzer added the second goal, taking advantage of a cross from teammate Luke Shaw from the left flank, to convert it with a shot into the net.

In the sixth minute of injury time for the second half, Fernandes scored his second goal and Manchester United's third.

Manchester United joined three other teams to complete the golden square of the competition, as Manchester City, Brighton and Sheffield United qualified for the same round, after beating Burnley, Grimsby Town and Blackburn Rovers respectively in the same round.

The semi-final draw saw Sheffield United, Manchester City, Brighton and Manchester United face off at Wembley Stadium next month.

The two matches will be played on the 22nd and 23rd of next month.
