It was half an hour before the first goal came about at Strandvallen. Then it was Otto Rosengren who went on shots from outside. Hammarby goalkeeper Oliver Dovin was able to stop the ball, but Mjällby's new acquisition Alexander Johansson struck on the rebound and 1-0 to the home side was a fact.

The lead stood until intermission. And even in the second half, Mjällby had several sharp chances. The closest to a second goal, however, was Hammarby. After a clearance, the ball ended up with Shaquille Pinas who went on the finish. But before the ball ended up in the net, the referee had blown off for offside on Nathaniel Adjei, and Mjällby's lead was therefore intact.

And it stood until the final whistle. This means that Mjällby is for the first time ever ready for the cup final, while Hammarby is eliminated.

The second semi-final will be played tomorrow between Häcken and Djurgården.
