Ruichang, Jiangxi, March 3 (ZXS) -- The China (Ruichang) International Badminton Masters Championship (hereinafter referred to as the "Masters") officially started at the gymnasium of Ruichang Sports Park in Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province on the 14th. This is the first time that Jiangxi, a central province of China, has hosted an international badminton competition.

This event is part of the 2023-2026 BWF Tour Super 100 series. The BWF Tour is the second category of events in the BWF system, with the Super 100 being the sixth tier.

The reporter learned from the organizing committee of the event that the masters began on March 3 and ended on March 14, lasting 3 days, setting up five individual events: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles, with a total of 19 athletes from 6 countries and regions participating, with a total prize of $21,309.

Liang Yucong, a 21-year-old young player from Macao, China, said that he was very excited and happy to participate in international badminton competitions again after several years and to participate in Jiangxi for the first time. "I'm going to try my best to play every game and enjoy the game."

The Masters also featured men's singles players Lei Lanxi and Sun Feixiang from the Chinese national badminton team participating in the main event, as well as players such as Adinatha from Indonesia and Liang Junhao from Malaysia.
