Miho Takagi, who won the overall victory in two events at the speed skating World Cup and won two medals at the world championships, returned to Japan and said about this season, which she has been working independently after leaving the national team, saying, "It's been hard and painful. But I was able to spend a good time," he recalled.

Takagi won the overall titles in the women's 1000m and 1500m at this season's speed skating World Cup, and won bronze in both events at the World Championships in the Netherlands earlier this month.

Takagi, who returned to Japan after the season ended on the 12th, responded to an interview at Narita Airport about the World Championships, saying, "I'm more frustrated than happy. I want to," he recalled.

Takagi left the Japan Skating Federation's national team this season to work independently under coach Johan de Witt, who has been coached by her team.

Regarding this, he said, "It was all new, and there were times when it was hard and painful, but I never regretted it. I couldn't connect it to the result, but I had more time to face skating in a different way than before. I had a great time.”

After that, he revealed that he would continue to work with coach De Witt next season, saying, "I'm clear about what I'm missing and what I want to do. Talk with the coach about what you need to do to achieve it. I'm doing it," he said, looking ahead to the next season.
