In the power play, Karlsson shot from the blue line and on the return team captain Logan Couture was able to send in the 1-1 puck in the second period at home against the Minnesota Wild.
It was his 64th assist of the season (third most in the NHL so far) and with 84 points he is seventh in the league in total points, by far the most points of any defenseman.
With 84 points, he has already secured himself in the San Jose Sharks history books with the best scoring season by a back in team history.
In the 2018/19 season, Brent Burns had 83 points.
But San Jose couldn't handle Minnesota, who won the game 5-2.
