On March 10, the 2023 ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Championships kicked off at the Mokdong Ice Rink in Seoul, South Korea. In the six individual competitions, all participating Chinese players passed.

As the main force of the iron fight, the Chinese player Lin Xiaoyu competes five times a day, and he can be called a "model worker".

He successfully passed the men's 500m and 1000m qualifying and preliminaries, and advanced to the quarter-finals.

In addition, in the quarter-finals of the 2000-meter mixed relay, the Chinese team composed of Lin Xiaojun, Zhong Yuchen, Wang Xinran and Zang Yize won second place in the group in 2:43.235 and advanced to the semi-finals.

This World Championships is the first time for the Chinese short track speed skating team to appear in the three major international competitions after the Beijing Winter Olympics.

The Chinese team mainly trains young people in this World Championships, and will strive for more places in the next World Championships.

The men's contestants include Lin Xiaojun, Li Wenlong, Liu Guanyi, Song Jiahua and Zhong Yuchen; among the female athletes are Gong Li, Wang Xinran, Wang Ye, Zang Yize and Zhang Chutong.

Since they did not participate in the last World Championships, the Chinese team has only one place in each of the three individual events for men and women.

The women's 1500m, 500m, and 1000m contestants are Zang Yize, Zhang Chutong, and Gong Li respectively; the men's 1500m will send Li Wenlong, and Lin Xiaoyu will compete in the men's 500m and 1000m.

As a powerful player in the Chinese team, Lin Xiaojun has high hopes in this competition.

In this season's World Cup, he is the only member of the Chinese team to win a gold medal in an individual event. He has won two consecutive championships in the men's 500-meter event in the last two races.

Zhang Jing, the head coach of the Chinese short track team, said, "Lin Xiaojun's state has gradually recovered and even improved. Lin Xiaoyu is in a recovery stage in terms of reaction speed, overtaking and anti-overtaking ability. Even in some points, he is better than before. He is more comfortable. In the next training and competition, he will be in better condition."

Now Lim Hyo-jung has returned to South Korea to represent China for the first time in the Short Track Speed Skating World Championships and has become the focus of attention from the outside world.

The International Skating Federation issued a pre-competition analysis of the 2023 Short Track Speed Skating World Championships. The International Skating Federation believes that the South Korean team is expected to become the protagonist in the arena at home, and Lin Xiaojun of the Chinese team will strive for victory in the Korean arena.

In the men's 500m qualifying competition, Lin Xiaojun competed with Park Ji-won, the current leader of the Korean men's short track speed skating team.

In the confrontation between the two, Lin Xiaojun had an absolute advantage, sliding out a time of 42.083 seconds, ranking first in the group and advancing, while Park Zhiyuan fell behind at the last moment and ranked last in the group.

In the men's 500m preliminaries, Lin Xiaojun forcibly took the lead when he was at the back in the first half, skating a time of 40.979 seconds, and advanced to the quarter-finals as the second in the group.

After a short break, Lin Xiaojun continued to compete in the men's 1000m race.

In the women's group, Zhang Chutong and Gong Li advanced to the next round in the 500m and 1000m competitions respectively, and Zang Yize advanced to the women's 1500m semi-finals.

In the mixed 2000-meter relay quarter-finals, the Chinese team composed of Lin Xiaojun, Zhong Yuchen, Wang Xinran and Zang Yize won the second place in the group with 2:43.235 and successfully advanced to the semi-finals.

In the quarter-finals of the women's 3000m relay, the Chinese team composed of Gong Li, Wang Ye, Zang Yize and Zhang Chutong made a mistake and fell in the handover. They ranked third in the group with a time of 4:17.980 and missed the next round.

In the quarter-finals of the men's 5000m relay, Lin Xiaojun, who was on the list before, did not play. The Chinese team composed of Li Wenlong, Liu Guanyi, Song Jiahua and Zhong Yuchen still performed well. They won the second place in the group with a time of 6:59.591 and advanced semifinals.
