Öhlund made his World Cup debut earlier this season and before Saturday had reached the top 30 once.

Then she landed in 22nd place.

After the first slalom run, she had a good chance to improve herself as she had the 20th fastest time.

And as she improved.

With the field's fastest second run, the 17-year-old climbed ten places and finished in tenth place.

- It was a good ride, I just tried to drive and it went well.

I felt that it was calmer underfoot than in the first and I could push well.

This feels great, great fun, says Öhlund to Viaplay.

"Still blue and red stick"

Cornelia Öhlund has mainly raced in the European Cup this season, where she has won three competitions and is third in the Slalom Cup.

But driving in the World Cup is an adjustment for the 17-year-old.

- It's a completely different atmosphere all around, more people and a slightly tougher track and hill.

But really, it's still blue and red stick and you just have to do your best.

But it's great fun to be here, especially at home.
