16 out of 18 possible points and clear group winners last fall.

Djurgården was successful in the Conference League last year, and tonight the playoffs begin for the Stockholm club.

In the round of 16, they face the big Polish club Lech Poznan, with Swedes Mikael Ishak, Jesper Karlström and Filip Dagerstål in the team.

Karlström is an extra familiar face for Djurgården, as he played at the club between 2015 and 2020.

"Emotions and excitement"

- Jesper is close to the heart of all animal farmers, and me in particular.

There will be emotions and a little excitement in between, says Djurgården's sports manager Bosse Andersson.

The double meeting with Lech Poznan begins in Poland and will be decided in Stockholm in a week.

- You notice the interest.

It's a big game for them too.

It will be a boiling pot with over 40,000 spectators, so it will be a tough tension and challenge.

We will also have strong support with a full away section, says Bosse Andersson.

Woke up to fireworks

Already before the match, Djurgården has had a taste of what awaits from Lech Poznan's supporters.

During the night of Thursday, people were woken up by fireworks outside the hotel.

- We did, or at least I did.

Otherwise, I start to sleep quite heavily, but there were fireworks on repeated occasions.

But I think they took the wrong direction at the hotel.

It was mostly us leaders who heard it, says Andersson and continues:

- And we were forewarned because Bodö/Glimt had the same experience two weeks ago.

The police were skilled at the scene.

They arrested two at 04:45 this morning, who did everything to provoke and disturb us.

But it is quite calm.

The match starts at 21:00, so there is nothing that will affect once the match starts.

The match between Lech Poznan and Djurgården is played at 21:00, and it is broadcast on Viaplay.
