Video reviewed penalty as HV71 took important victory

- The feeling is really good.

The knife on the throat and Skellefteå is a damn good team.

It's not often I'm nervous, but today I am, says coach Johan Lindbom after basically securing the SHL spot in 2023-24.

HV scored 1-0 early in the power play.

Joe Laleggia shot from the blue and in front of the goal steered the puck in behind Linus Söderström who moved to the side and left the goal open.

In the second period, HV scored 2-0 after André Petersson scored on a penalty that was video reviewed.

Petersson first dropped the puck, dragged it with him, then pulled it back and rounded Söderström and put the puck in.

- You can take the puck backwards, only the skates forward, but it was a difficult situation.

We wanted to be sure, so we checked, says judge Andreas Harnebring.

- It's not talk, he moves forward all the time and then he loses it, but that's the way it is, says HV's coach Johan Lindbom.
