Nightmare scenes in the Turkish league: "It was not a football match"

Sunday's meeting between Bursaspor and Amedspor in the Turkish third league degenerated completely.

Shortly after the match started, objects from the audience started to rain in.

The players of Amedspor, a Kurdish-influenced club, had to duck objects from fans of the Turkish nationalist club Bursaspor.

“It was a battlefield, not a football match.

You let this happen in front of an open curtain and now you must be held accountable for it," writes Amedspor in a statement addressed to the Turkish Football Association.

After all, the match was finished.

Bursaspor won 2–1.
