On the men's side, a maximum of two Allsvenskan teams can play in the same cup group and there is also a seeding based on placement in last year's league games.

But on the women's side, the draw is geographically based instead, to avoid overly long journeys.

For Rosengård, it meant a group with Linköping and Kristianstad, that is, three Allsvenskan top teams from last year in the same group.

- I think it's a shame, it would be better if geography didn't play such a big role.

Then I also understand that it is economics that is behind it, linked to travel and that is one aspect, but if you look purely from a football perspective, it becomes quite crazy, it feels very wrong that the draw looks the way it does, says Hanna Marklund, football expert on SVT.

"Would be very snooty"

It meant that the first match looks to be decisive for Rosengård, where they fell to Kristianstad 1-0.

Despite a victory in the match against Alingsås, they are now third in the group.

- The feeling is that they haven't had time to train together that much as a team.

But it's still a high-class team.

What I miss a little is this really offensive tip.

Even though they have a lot of ball possession, they don't create chances, so I would have believed in some more forward signings before the season, says Marklund.

To progress to the cup semi-finals, Rosengård needs to win against Linköping, while Alingsås defeats Kristianstad.

The risk is therefore great that the reigning champion leaves the cup game already now.

- I think it would be very rude and take a bit of confidence to go out so early.

Then I don't think it will cause it over the whole season.

They also know that they didn't have time to play together that much and that it was almost a match that was completely decided, says Marklund.
