The French Emily Harrop and Thibault Anselmet became world champions in the mixed relay in ski mountaineering, a discipline which will make its appearance at the Olympic Games in 2026 in Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo, Sunday in Boi Taull (Spain).

The other French pair Axelle Gachet-Mollaret and Robin Galindo win bronze.

The French Emily Harrop and Thibault Anselmet won the title of world champion in the mixed relay at the 2023 World Ski Mountaineering Championships.

The Italians Giulia Murada and Ernesto Canclini take the silver medal to the detriment of the other Frenchmen Axelle Gachet Mollaret and Robin Galindo.

In the sprint events on Tuesday, Anselmet won the silver medal and Galindo the bronze on Tuesday, while in the women's Harrop took the bronze.

Record of five medals

France therefore returns from these World Ski Mountaineering Championships with five medals in the three events (men's sprint, women's sprint and mixed relay) which will be on the Olympic program for the Winter Games in 2026 for the first time, on the slopes of the Stelvio in Italy.
