22-year-old William Poromaa has won his first WC medal.

In the final and highly dramatic five-mile race in Planica, Slovenia, he sprinted across the finish line in third place.

1.2 seconds behind the victorious Norwegian Pål Golberg and two tenths behind Johannes Hösflot Kläbo.

The Norwegian duo had an upper hand entering the race, and the battle for bronze became a blue-and-yellow affair.

Where Calle Halfvarsson was forced to see himself defeated.

Poromaa's WC medal is the first won by a male skier since Sweden's relay team came third in the WC in Lahti in 2017.
