According to the newspaper "L'Équipe", the president of Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace, Marc Keller, had lunch last week with the owners of the London club Chelsea.

These American investors would take a close interest in Strasbourg.

Information that already does not please supporters who are worried about the future of the club.

What future for RC Strasbourg?

While the Alsatian club receives Brest on behalf of the 26th day of Ligue 1, a rumor has had the effect of a small bomb in recent days.

Last week, the newspaper

L'Equipe

revealed in a short article that the president of Racing Marc Keller had lunch with the owners of Chelsea.

The London club would be very interested in buying the Strasbourg club.

Marc Keller ensures that for the moment, nothing is done.

But that was enough to worry the fans already.

"A family club"

Lucas has been a Racing subscriber for eight years and these rumors around Chelsea worry him.

"Racing's DNA has always been a family club and there, if we were bought out by the owner of Chelsea, it would be more of a business model. We can imagine for example, as he owns several clubs, that he lends or buys players between these clubs. And suddenly, lesser-known players come to play at Racing and then explode elsewhere and bring them money", laments the supporter.

The potential arrival of an American investor brings back bad memories for longtime supporters like Yves: the Frank McCormack era, another American who ruined the club 20 years ago.

"If we have to sum it up, I think it was a lot of disappointed hopes. The beginning of hell for Racing until its multiple relegations", he laments.

Despite everything, they want to believe in their president.

"I have confidence in Marc Keller and I have confidence in his ability to seek investors who are aligned with the strategy and philosophy he has wanted to bring to Racing for more than six years now," hopes Yves.

“He brought us back to Ligue 1 and gave us back our Racing, so I think we can trust him,” admits another supporter.

Above all, they hope that Racing will wake up, move up the rankings and avoid relegation.
