In the Ataköy Arena in Istanbul, Swedish long jump star Thobias Montler once again proved that he belongs to the absolute world elite.

The 27-year-old was second in the European Championships in 8.19, a tangential season's best that he managed in the second attempt.

- He makes a super competition, says SVT Sports expert Alhaji Jeng

The only person to jump higher than Montler was Miltiadis Tentoglou.

The Greek, who won Olympic gold in Tokyo, defended his European Championship gold for the second time, winning in 8.30.

- It is not a bad guy that he (Montler) gets beaten by.

He is almost a complete long jumper, the only thing he is missing is a WC gold medal indoors.

He has won everything else and been dominant in recent years.

He is a true champion, says Alhaji Jeng.
