- My chest hurts so much that I can't even warm up.

It's not optimal charging, says Khaddi Sagnia who fell ill when she arrived in the Turkish capital Istanbul.

The Swedish long jump star jumped 6.74 in the third and final attempt, nine centimeters above the qualifying limit and one centimeter shorter than her season's best.

- I am very happy and surprised that it went so well today.

What was it like to jump without being warmed up?

- I took a risk.

But I didn't want to just give up either.

I'm not setting any goals tomorrow, we'll see what happens.

What kind of problems have you had?

- Coughing and chest pain, that's what it's been mostly.

And yesterday the cold came.

When I do something physical, that's when I feel pain.

Is there any concern about covid-19?

- I checked with our doctor, he said there was nothing when he listened to the lungs.

But of course I'm worried, because if it were something, maybe it could get worse later.

Sagnia was third best in the long jump qualification, Serbian Ivana Vuleta jumped the longest with 6.98.

The final will be decided tomorrow, Sunday, starting at 17.50.
