Plaintiff's lawyer Annika Björk writes in an SMS to SVT Sport:

"We are of course dissatisfied with the verdict.

But I also note that the district court writes very positively about my client and her credibility, which naturally feels good.

It is not her credibility that has fallen on, but on the fact that we in Sweden have a very high standard of proof."

They have not yet decided whether they will appeal the verdict.

"Regarding the appeal, I don't think we will make a decision on it until a week or so from now," writes Annika Björk.

It was last fall that SOK's chairman Mats Årjes was charged with sexual harassment, after an incident that is said to have occurred on a train during the summer of 2022.

The Falu District Court states in the judgment that words stand against words and that they judge the woman's story to be credible.

But that there is "a lack of other, more direct and tangible evidence of what happened beyond the plaintiff's and the defendant's sports manager's information".

Mats Årjes has always denied any crime and has previously told SVT that he is completely innocent.

At the end of January, it was clear that he would leave his post as chairman of the Swedish Olympic Committee.

SVT Sport has contacted Mats Årjes for a comment.
