Sebastian Samuelsson's perfect hit came in Oberhof at the WC's mass start, his first WC gold.

Now he says that it strengthened him mentally.

- It is clear that the self-confidence is now significantly better than before the WC.

I think I was a bit of a seeker in January and didn't quite get it to work and so the WC turned out very well, says Samuelsson and continues:

- Now I feel that even if I'm not in the same form as at the WC, not much can happen in one week, so I think I have a good chance to finish well and I usually finish the season well, and be on the podium even in the last trimester.

"It will be difficult now"

Now awaits the next tour of World Cup competitions in Czech Nove Mesto, the first after the WC, starting on Friday with the men's sprint.

- I want to be there and fight for a victory and a podium place here, if I compare to last year, it was very inspiring to come back to the last trimester and fight for the podium places in the overall World Cup.

It will be difficult now, at the same time I think long-term and want to be able to perform at a high level all the time and gather experience and so on.

- The last trimester is always when you start thinking about how you want to be able to compete next season, if you want to cut a second in the shooting, it can be an opportunity to try a few things, says Samuelsson in conclusion.
