Västerås led 2-1 in matches against Vetlanda before the fourth round (6-3, 3-5 and 4-3).

And tonight they looked for a long time to take a comfortable second straight victory.

Västerås took the lead in the 21st minute through Robin Andersson, and shortly afterwards they also made it 2-0 when Kasper Sandgren slammed a rebound behind the goalkeeper.

Quick reduction

A quick reduction came for Vetlanda barely two minutes later through Axel Ekholm.

- It's still completely okay, we need to be a little calmer offensively and be more sharp, says Vetlanda's goalscorer Ekholm at half-time.

The guests were more specific in what they need to do.

- We talked about closing the store and winning, says Västerås' Christoffer Fagerström.

Turned to extension

And it seemed for a long time to become a reality.

But Vetlanda came back and both reduced and equalized with just over five minutes left in the match.

Filip Bringe made it 3-3 on a corner goal.

The match went to overtime and was back and forth.

Then the former goalscorer Robin Andersson stepped forward and decided the victory for Västerås, who advance to the semi-finals.

- They are good at creating chances out of nothing.

It was really nice that we decided here at the end, says Västerås coach Michael Carlsson.

The other semi-final teams are Bollnäs, Edsbyn and Villa Lidköping.
