Sandra Näslund has had a sensational World Cup season and won all nine competitions.

That made the Swede a big favorite for the WC gold - and she held up to the pressure.

The WC competitions were postponed for a day due to strong winds and when the time came, Näslund took the lead straight away in his quarter-final and held it to the finish.

In the semi-finals, she then turned up the pace and was completely superior.

In the final, Näslund made a few small mistakes, but the competitors had nothing to oppose.

She crossed the finish line well ahead of the others, securing her third WC gold.

Katrin Ofner, Austria, took the silver and Fanny Smith, Switzerland, took the bronze.
