At Hisingen, IFK Gothenburg faced Gais in a heated derby.

The Allsvenskan club took the lead in the first half through new acquisition Adam Carlén.

But Gais, who achieved promotion to the super one last year, did not give up.

Axel Norén sent in the equalizing goal, and Mervan Celik scored 2–1 from the penalty spot.

This after Blåvitt goalscorer Carlén caused the penalty.

As if it wasn't bad enough for the 22-year-old, Carlén was sent off in the final stages of the match, after picking up his second yellow card.

Gais held off and was thus able to pick up a stunning victory in the Swedish Cup.

In Norrköping, another top-flight club was also about to pick up an unexpected victory.

Utsikten led the away match 3–1, but Norrköping saved a point after two late goals.

Jacob Ortmark scored the 3–3 goal in extra time.

With today's results, there is a narrow advantage for Norrköping in group 7 in the Swedish cup.

"Peking" has four recorded points after two matches, while IFK Göteborg and Gais have three each.
