New medals for Sweden at the World Ski Championships.

On Saturday afternoon, Ebba Andersson won gold in the skiathlon after finishing in 38.11.8.

The silver went to Frida Karlsson, who was 22 seconds behind Andersson.

After 7.5 kilometers and a change of skis, Ebba Andersson managed to pull away from the others considerably, and she took home the race in superior style - despite the fact that she collapsed with barely four kilometers to go.

Andersson's left ski stuck out and she lost her balance, but the Swede picked herself up quickly and she made it to the finish as unchallenged first.

The 35-year-old Astrid Öyre Slind, who made her WC debut, was able to enjoy a bronze medal.
