It was at the end of the second period that Oskarshamn's star forward Jiri Smejkal lost his temper after getting a second for a charge.
When a linesman then tried to stop him from complaining to one of the referees, the 26-year-old Czech responded with a light shove that caused the referee to lose his balance slightly.
After the referees discussed the situation for a short while, they decided to give Smejkal a match penalty for "physical abuse of referee".
Rögle won the match 3–0.
