Frida Karlsson was with Ebba Andersson for the ski change ï the skiathlon at the WC, but had to let the former clubmate out of sight right away on the four-stile part.

Karlsson had nothing to oppose and at the finish line she was just over 20 seconds behind Andersson.

If Karlsson was disappointed after the race?

Not at all, it felt like a victory, she says.

- About a week ago it was like "what should I do to even get into normal basic shape", I had like 27 different plans, the fact that I'm still standing here today with a silver feels good, she tells SVT Sport.

Which of those 27 schemes did you choose?

- It was really just trying to rest and get a surplus, says Karlsson.

"I've been quite unsure"

Were you worried then?

- Yes, it hasn't gone flawlessly, the precamp (loading camp) was quite up and down, not so smooth entry into this championship, so it feels good now and promising for the other competitions, it allows me to lower my shoulders.

- I have been quite uncertain about it, so it feels like a win today.

Are you getting close to your normal level?

- Yes, but day by day it has gotten better, and I have had to get this surplus again.

The championship is long so it feels very promising.
