It got messy when the WC skiathlon was decided in Planica.

When the men raced on Friday, five riders were forced to break and Finnish Arsi Ruuskanen received medical treatment after a crash.

The women's race was also messed up.

On the first downhill, there was a mass crash, in which, among others, Terese Stadobler from Austria was involved.

- It was difficult out there, tough conditions.

I had a crappy day, she says afterwards.

"Losing a lot"

Later in the race, American Rosie Brennan fell over.

She lost her skid and the binding broke.

- It is difficult to ski.

It's never happened to me before.

You lose a lot of time, says Brennan, who finished in 19th place.

Ebba Andersson won the race.
