22-year-old Melvin Pantzar, everyday in the Spanish league and top team Valladolid, is just one of a whole host of young, yet already experienced, players in the Swedish national basketball team.

He and several other young players are expected to take on more responsibility on the field in the coming years.

- It's great fun, a new generation is coming while the veterans in the national team take care of us, tell us and teach important things, says Melvin Pantzar, who is also appointed captain during this national team gathering.

Another young player who is expected to have increased responsibility in the national team is Barra Ndjie, 22 years old.

He has just traded college play in the US for league play in Spain's Juaristi.

- The World Cup qualification has been a very useful experience for everyone in the national team, now we have to finish well and take important ranking points.

Playing for Sweden is an honor and we should be proud of ourselves when we summarize the qualification next week.

The train to the WC finals at the end of August has left for Sweden.

Equally, there will be a lot of focus on the national team during the final WC qualifying matches.

Debuts in the national team

The explanation is largely called, Elliot Cadeau.

An 18-year-old super talent from New Jersey, USA, who because of his Swedish mother chose to play for Sweden and who is now expected to make his debut in the national team.

- I absolutely expect to get some playing time, notes Cadeau.

It will be my first time playing against players of this level, I will try to learn as much as I can and take advantage of the experience.

I will be myself and do what I am good at, says Elliot Cadeau.
