The Ski Cross World Cup is underway in Bakuriani, Georgia.

On Friday, the ski cross qualifiers began, and Sandra Näslund had to bow down for the first time in a long time.

You're not the best, how does that feel?

- It still feels perfectly fine.

I didn't do a good ride on the upper part.

Missed where you couldn't miss on the flat and the straight.

But it still feels okay.

There will be tight heats tomorrow so it's just a matter of finding everything until then, says Näslund to SVT Sport and continues:

- It is sad that it will be at the WC.

But the medals are to be awarded tomorrow, so it's probably better to have a bad ride today then.

The Canadian Thompson says this to SVT Sport:

- It feels good.

- To be forward Sandra...she made a big miss in the middle, I know I had to push all the way down, and I really did a good ride, she says to SVT Sport.

Before the day, Näslund had 22 victories in a row, the last time she lost (both qualifying and final counted) was the qualification in Reiteralm, Austria, on March 11, 2022 when she was fourth.

The finals run tomorrow Saturday.
