The reigning Swedish champion team Edsbyn has won 2-0 in matches in the quarter-final series against Sandviken.

With the experienced Per Hellmyrs, who became available a few hours before the rejection because SAIK's spittoloska notification was rejected, Edsbyn won by a whopping 7–1.

- There was a lot that went wrong.

We weren't good.

And they scored.

They are quite easy goals too, says Sandviken's coach Joakim Forslund to Gefle Dagblad.

Hellmyrs provided an assist until the 5–0 goal by Martin Frid.

Who was behind four of the winning goals, two goals and two assists.

The third match in the quarter-final series, where Edsbyn can secure a semi-final place, will be decided on Saturday.

In the other quarters, Bollnäs and last year's finalist Villa Lidköping also have 2-0 in matches against Broberg/Söderhamn and Sirius respectively.

Vetlanda equalized to 1–1 in matches against Västerås.
