On the final day of the WC, it was double gold for Sweden when both Sebastian Samuelsson and Hanna Öberg took home the gold in the mass start.

For Hanna Öberg, it was her fourth medal and second gold in the WC.

- What Hanna is doing today is so impressive.

We know she is strong in the closing stages and she takes the chance like this.

She has impressed throughout the WC and manages to recharge again, says SVT Sports expert Helena Ekholm.

It was a strong end to a successful championship for Sweden.

- This whole day where Sweden wins three out of six medals, two of which are gold.

It is absolutely incomparable, says SVT Sports expert Magdalena Forsberg.

New medal record for Sweden

In the WC, Sweden won eleven medals, of which three were gold, and that is a new record, previously there were six medals from Pokljuka in 2021.

- It's absolutely fantastic, a smashing of the previous record.

We must also remember that Elvira Öberg, our biggest star before the WC, did not win an individual medal, says Helena Ekholm.

Magdalena Forsberg believes that the riders spur each other on.

- They are in a flow, they have things with them.

They have worked hard together for several years and have a good team around them.

Everything has worked and so they are in this flow where everything works in terms of results.

The spurs also understand each other, it's the whole that does it, says Magdalena Forsberg.
