Mona Brorsson replaces Elvira Öberg in the WC mass start

Illness kept Elvira Öberg from participating in the distance and single mixed relay during the WC earlier this week.

But she was back for Saturday's relay and helped Sweden to a WC bronze.

Now comes word that Elvira Öberg will not participate in Sunday's mass start.

- Elvira is not feeling worse but is quite tired after yesterday and we don't want to risk anything because we have so many World Cup competitions left, announces national team coach Johannes Lukas.

Sweden, which has the right to field four riders in today's mass start, will instead let Mona Brorsson compete.

The ladies' mass start starts at 3.15 pm and is broadcast on SVT1 and SVT Play.

The men's mass start starts at 12.30.
