- We had the right attitude and would fight to the last shot, says the national team captain Johannes Lukas after the seventh medal in the WC - a new record for Sweden in the biathlon WC.

Johannes Thingnes Bö's dream of seven golds was shattered when France won ahead of Norway.

After five straight golds, Thingnes Bö got a silver today.

Sweden got off to a nightmare start when Peppe Femling started his second standing shooting with three misses and incurred a penalty round.

He went out on the sprint lap in 19th (entering the fence in seventh five seconds behind) a full minute behind leaders France and Antonin Guigonnat.

- When I started taking the reserve shots it started to blow and it will happen a lot, said Femling after his first shooting.

And there would be major reversals.

Strong pickup by Ponsiluoma

At the change, Martin Ponsiluoma went out 1.21 behind in 18th.

He took two extra shots in the first shoot but made significant progress in the second shoot.

From eleventh to fourth and in the medal fight after just one extra shot.

At the switch, Ponsiluoma sent out Jesper Nelin in third – 57 seconds behind leaders Czech Republic, who were just ahead of France.

Jesper Nelin kept Sweden in the medal fight in the third leg after an extra shot in both lying and standing.

He was really tired on the sprint lap and was passed by Norway's Sturla Holm Lägreid just before the stadium in third and fourth.

They finished 50 seconds behind the leading Czech Republic (France ten seconds behind).

Samuelsson had to go out on the back of chasing Johannes Thingnes Bö.

In the first horizontal shooting, both Samuelsson and Thingnes Bö had three misses but made it through the penalty round.

The leading Czech Jonas Marecek did not, who took two rounds and three teams, Norway, Sweden and the Czech Republic, were there 52-58 seconds behind France's Quentin Fillon Maillet.

To the results.
